About Warfarin
Description
Warfarin is an anticoagulant (blood thinner) that blocks vitamin K-dependent blood clotting proteins, increasing the time it takes for blood to clot. It is used to prevent and treat blood clots.
Common Uses
Deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, atrial fibrillation, thromboembolism after heart valve replacement, prevention of stroke and complications after heart attack

Bleeding, minor bleeding from scrapes or bleeding gums, nosebleeds, blood in urine or stool, easy bruising
