Medicare Part B is the medical insurance component of Original Medicare. It covers medically necessary outpatient services including doctor visits, lab tests, preventive screenings, durable medical equipment, and mental health services. Part B has a monthly premium, an annual deductible, and typically requires 20% coinsurance for covered services.
